Once again: a new range of postcards

June 8, 2010 and September 3, 2010.

Summer was here and we could think of no better idea than publishing a new range of post cards.

This time we were focusing on the cities of Finland: Mikkeli, Kotka, Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and so on.

And don't forget the captial of Karelia, Viipuri, that was ceeded to the Soviet Union after the war in 1944. Viipuri (Viborg in Swedish, Vyborg in Russian) is a beutiful medieval city which is very well alive in the minds of the Finns. Our first Viipuri-card is a total success and we do expect this one to create a lot of passion as well.

And for the friends of Karelia we have a very special card: Koiviston Merikylpylä Casino. Koivisto was (is) a smaller town by the sea on the Karelian isthmus (also ceeded to the Soviet Union in 1944). Nowadays it's called Primorsk.

Turku - European Capital of Culture 2011

During 2011 Turku (Åbo) is the European Capital of Culture. This is no small thing. So we took a new print of Johannes Paavolas artwork from 1929 (see below), and published it as a post card.

Where to buy?

All cards can be ordered in our Poster Shop. Many of our cards and posters can also be bought in Akateeminen Bookstore (Stockmann) in Helsinki, as well as in the Museum shops of Kiasma and Ateneum.

Look out for more new products later in 2010.
